GEM REPORT For the UAE
- Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) is one of the SIP INNOV Global think tank initiatives. GEM began in 1999 as a joint project between Babson College (USA) and London Business School (UK). It is the world's largest ongoing cross-country collaborative and most developed research program on entrepreneurship in the world. Started with 10 participating economies, now the latest survey includes 65 world economies, covering 69.2% of the world’s population and 84.9% of the world’s GDP.
- With 18 years of data in more than 100 economies on the entrepreneurial behavior and attitudes of individuals and the national context and how that impacts entrepreneurship, GEM data, analysis and recommendations influence economic policies, public perception and attitudes, stakeholders and entrepreneurs behavior, and expand its crucial role in the entrepreneurship world. Therefore, GEM is aligned with INNOV Global mission to become recognized for supporting entrepreneurship evidence-based policy-making.
- UAEU SIP started the second year for GEM UAE and will be launching UAE GEM report for 2016 in September 2017.
